Commercial Coffee Machines: Why Buy Online

When you buy a commercial coffee machine, you want to get the most reliable machine that produces the best-quality coffee possible- and of course you want this at the lowest price! These days it tends to be preferable to buy coffee machines online, rather than taking the more traditional route of buying from a catalogue or in person: buying online is faster, easier, and you can access all the information you need to make an informed decision and buy the most suitable machine for your business.

There are several different types of coffee machine on the market- the main types being traditional espresso machines, cappuccino machines and automatic bean-to-cup machines. On top of this, different machines come with different features and extras, so it is important when buying your coffee machine that you know exactly what you are looking for. For example, what type of machine do you need? Cappuccino machines are ideal if you want people to serve themselves, but if you are going to serve the coffee for them you might want to look at an espresso machine.

Then there are the more specific questions to consider: for example, if you are buying an espresso machine, how many cups are you going to need to make at once? Basic coffee machines make only one cup at a time, however there are machines that enable you to have six or more cups on the go- perfect if you are going to need to cater for large numbers of people simultaneously.

With all this to consider, it is no wonder that people are opting to buy their coffee machines online: who needs to go from store to store when you can find out all about- and buy- your machine at the touch of a button? So get online, get informed and get buying!

Organic Coffee - Is It Worth the Price?

Heaps of premiums are thrown onto environmentally sound products in the marketplace. Recycled paper is typically more expensive than standard paper. Lettuce and tomatoes made without the use of pesticides and fertilizers also enjoy above average market rates as well. Certified organic coffee has achieved a reputation for being pricey because of many reasons. For starters, it was produced without the use of environmentally harmful chemicals such as herbicides and pesticides. In turn, organic coffee has received a seal of approval for being healthier than your standard coffee.

Does organic coffee justify the higher price though? Many industry experts and coffee enthusiasts alike claim so because of the intense labor required by poorer farmers in countries like Bolivia and Ecuador in navigating coffee bean fields for collection and transport. Citing the injustices of poor pay by coffee merchants towards poor farmers (paying less than 50 cents a pound in some cases), major coffee companies have taken initiative in building supply chains linking these poor producers. These organic coffee supply chains guaranteed a fair wage for workers and reinvestment of organic coffee profit back into the community in these Third World countries.

A dollar spent on a 12 oz. bag of dark roasted organic coffee goes a long way towards helping coffee producing communities. It is money spent towards a generous overhead, which is the continuation of the supply chain that guarantees a reasonable price for production. Buying organic coffee supports the social work major companies are going to improve supply chains in these regions. Remember, farmers have to go through an extensive evaluation process in having their coffee called organic. With profit differences between standard coffee crops and organic coffee groups similar, many farmers can easily opt to stick with the former. All in all, organic coffee is worth the price for the reasons outlined above.

The Days Of The Stale Dry Coffee Cake Are Long Gone

The Coffee cake originated from the basic honey cake and Danish combined. It was made with coffee and the cakes came from Central and Northern Europe. Depending on the nationality that you associate with coffee cake, it can also be called Kuchen or Gugelhupf. It is believed to be as old as 300 years. Coffee cake started out just as sweet bread, but over time has developed into something that is more like bunt cake.

It is believed that recipes arrived in America when the Dutch, German and Scandinavians immigrated. The cakes recipe started out quite basic, being made from yeast, nuts, spices, dried fruit and eggs. Nowadays, you will find your coffee cake available with a variety of fillings, cheese, or covered in sugar. Most coffee cakes do not actually contain coffee, but they were associated with coffee, as you would often be eaten with a steaming mug of coffee.

Many years ago coffee cake was treated as a delicious after dinner treat. Coffee was always served as a special gift to guests; the cake would go so perfect that they would call it coffee cake. Many women would find themselves with a cup of coffee, a coffee cake, and a great amount of gossip to share. It became the ultimate cake for guests as it has always been known to be something that you talk over with.

With the modern coffee cake, you may picture something that has a strudel on top. They tend to be very sweet in taste, and include ingredients such as baking spices, blueberries and cranberries. The fruits in these cakes make them great for those who have a sweet tooth.

Coffee cake would not be served until after dinner and should be enjoyed with a pot of coffee. It is not something that is eaten quickly. You will have some coffee, stop for a nibble on a piece of cake, and mostly talk, giving time to catch up on the daily events.

For centuries the coffee cake has been eaten in this way. Today, it is considered as a light snack, more than a dessert and will be eaten at anytime throughout the day.

If you want a recipe to make your own freshly baked coffee cakes, just simply search online by entering into your favourite search engine coffee cake and another ingredient that you would like to include. You will be able to find various different coffee cake recipes made out of anything, whether it may be spices, fruits or nuts.

Quick Guide To Finding The Best Coffee Maker

You cannot get a perfect tasting cup of coffee each day without the best coffee maker for you. Finding the one is a matter of planning for your needs ahead of time. You need to include such preferences into your choice as how fast you need your coffee made. You may also need to decide if you want the water and coffee heated separately or at the same time. Also, you need to know if it is important for you to have a clock-set model that will make your coffee for you at a set time each day. And, do not forget to measure the prospective equipment space on your kitchen counter to see what dimensions the coffee maker can be.

For some, a percolator is a nice choice for a coffee maker. For those who love their old-fashioned coffee and are not into any specialized coffees, a stove top percolator or an electric percolator does everything they need. If you go with the stove top version, be sure not to over-boil your coffee. Most people go with the electric percolator because it will sense when the coffee has brewed and switch over to warm mode.

Over the last several decades, the automatic drip coffee maker has been about the most popular. This is the kind where you just throw in the coffee bag and some water in the machine. The machine does the rest.

For many people these days, a coffee maker without a clock and timer function is just not worth having. People have grown to love waking up to the smell of fresh coffee each morning. All you have to remember to do is put in ingredients within the 24 hours before your wake-up coffee. The timed coffee machine will take care of the rest.

If none of the above do it for you, you are probably either a coffee aficionado, impatient, or you like specialized coffees. For the aficionado or the impatient, there are other options such as a plunger pot, manual drip, microwave, or vacuum coffee maker. For those who like specialized blends, there are cappuccino makers and espresso makers. Nonetheless, there will always be one coffee machine that suits your taste and needs. Take your time to find that best coffee maker. It is worth it!

How To Pick The Perfect Coffee Gift Basket

With so many choices in coffee blends, how do know what is the perfect gift for that java junky in your life? Look no further, we have all
the tips you need here for building that perfect one of kind coffee gift basket.

You know how hard it can be to pick out clothes to give to a friend or loved one for a present. So what makes you think it should be any
different when you buy a coffee gift basket as a present? Actually, buying a coffee gift basket for the coffee-holic in your life is a fantastic
idea all by itself. But you can perfect this coffe gift basket plan by choosing the types of coffee for the basket that you know theyll love.

There are a few of guidelines that some experts recommend for selecting the right blends for your coffee gift basket. The first guideline is
to decide what kind of coffee body your friend or family member prefers. For instance, do they like the bottom of the pot? That means they
probably like their coffee stiff or bold. Or do they usually add less than a whole packet to their pots of coffee? That could indicate that they like their
joe on the light side.

Next, take this preference to a map. You see, if youre going to figure out the perfect coffee gift basket, youll need to know your geography.
Different regions of the world tend to have different coffee flavors. The Central and South America continents, for example, tend to grow coffees
with light-bodies, higher acidities, and sweeter flavors. The African continent, on the other hand, offers blends with medium bodies, medium
acidities, and wilder flavors. Finally, the Asian-Indonesian-Pacific continent grows the coffees with the stiff, heavy bodies, low acidities, and hearty
earthier flavors.

Some examples to look for in a coffee gift basket from Central and South America, or the Caribbean, would be the delicious blends that come
out of the Jamaican Blue Mountains. Brazil and Colombia also are huge coffee producers, so anything from those two countries will fit the bill.

If you want to include African varieties in your coffee gift basket, look for specific types from Tanzania and Yemen. As for Asian blends, particular
coffees from Sumatra are well known for their dark roasts, as well as brews from New Guinea, Sulawesi, and Java. Whatever you choose, you will be
sure to bring a smile to the face of your friend and loved one.

which would only be attainable normally if you opened a can of coffee each time you brewed. The coffee pods are easy to clean up after, leaving no messy coffee
grounds, soggy filters, or dirty baskets. Plus, a single cup of coffee means you wont have the face the problem of wasting an entire pot of coffee.

You can buy Folgers coffee pods in a variety of flavors, such as mild, medium, and dark, along with regular and decaffeinated varieties. Folgers also has its most

Coffee - Is It The Most Popular Beverage Of All Time?

Around 850 A.D it is thought that a lone shepherd and his sheep
happened upon a strange and mysterious plant growing upon a
secluded and forgotten hillside. Before he could stop them
some of his herd had began to gnaw away at this unusual
berry. After about fifteen minutes or so the herder started
to notice that his sheep were behaving in an odd manner. Not
only were they unusually alert but they also appeared to be
extremely hyperactive. Now being a little weary and
extremely tired the shepherd decided to try the berries and
see if the end results would be the same for him as they had
been for his flock. To his pleasant surprise the shepherd
began to feel wide awake and he too became very alert. After
a few hours had passed along came a wandering monk who,
after being informed of the plants amazing qualities
proceeded to scold the poor shepherd and lecture him on his
foolish indulgence. After he had finished telling the
shepherd just what a sinner he had been the monk set upon
his journey but not before he had added a little something
to his backpack and supplies.

Back at the abbey the monks decided to try this new magical
stimulant. Soon the endless hours of praying became easy to
endure. Coffee the beverage had been unleashed. Its
widespread use first took hold in the Ethiopian regions
before then moving on to the Arabian empire. Here it was to
be held for many years as a sacred substance until it was
illegally exported to the outside world by an Arab called
Baba Budan. Word of its effects then began to spread and in
a short while coffee was to become one of the most treasured
commodities in our history. Today we drink a staggering 4
billion cups each and every year and there are many among us
who would simply refuse to start our day without it.

Although coffee is mainly known as a sleep suppressant there
are those who consider coffee to have many health benefits.
It is thought that people who suffer from asthma and partake
of the beverage have at least 25% less symptoms which may be
due to a substance in coffee called theophylline. This is
known as a bronchodilator and quite simply it is thought to
help those who suffer with the disease to breath with a
little more ease. Drinking coffee on a daily basis is also
thought to help lower your chances of developing colon
cancer by a figure also in the region of about 25%. This may
be due to the fact that coffee helps to keep you regular.
Coffee can do more than just help you get through your day.

Apart from the benefits that have just been mentioned it has
to be said that simply drinking coffee as a beverage is a
delight that cannot easily be surpassed. The amazing thing
is that the average person has no idea of the varied tastes
that this hallowed bean has to offer. One of the growing
trends of recent years has to be the rising popularity of
ordering coffee via the wonder we call the internet. Never
before have we been able to sample such a wide variety of
tastes, blends and aromas without having to endure the
tedious trials of hiking around the city. I myself tend to
place small orders but I always make a point to record the
name, blend and of course exactly from whom I purchased.

Now that you are aware of the tale of the mystical beans I hope
that if in the days to come you are considering visiting your
local coffee shop you recall the story of the lowly shepherd
and think about just what you might be drinking were he not
to have wandered onto that bleak and lonely hillside. Why
not take advantage of the internet and try the many
different varieties and blends available. Not only will you
impress your tastebuds, your friends will be grateful as
well.

Coffee Maker - Information About Caffeine

Im no different from any other American; I love a good coffee after I wake up. In fact, I adore coffee bubbling in my coffee maker through out the day and sometimes I also crave the flavour even after having had dinner. Unfortunately, dependent on your body, your reaction to the caffeine will vary. This can mean the difference between a cup of coffee at night or a sleepless night of tossing and turning. I personally cannot drink coffee before bedtime because I am sensitive to the affects of caffeine. I cant even drink pop before bedtime or I will pay for it at night. This one of the main reasons why I keep a supply of decaf in my kitchen. If I do need that quick taste, I can brew some coffee without suffering the intolerable insomnia associated with caffeine.

My other backup for those times when I have run out of decaf and I crave a quick coffee at night is Dunkin Donuts. They brew a decaf that has all the flavour of the regular brew, but without the concentrated caffeine levels that will wire up my nerves. Ive even wandered out to get the iced variety when it has been too hot for my normal drink, and because I just have to have that delicious flavour running over my tongue.

Coffee beans have the natural molecule called caffeine built in. I am not very familiar with the process for its removal though. I picture a huge contraption resembling a sieve that uses a filtration system to remove the caffeine from the boiling beans water. I suppose this is more fantasy than reality because you can get whole grinds and beans from stores. I strongly imagine that the process involves the entire bean and not just the water. However, it is my best bet for coffee lovers like myself who have to avoid that dreaded caffeine.

I do worry that with the flavours of regular and decaf coffee being so much alike that the coffee-houses may give me regular accidentally. I avoid this concern by keeping a constant supply of decaf in my kitchen. Making mistakes is only human, right? I am also concerned that my Starbucks barista may give me decaf instead of my morning regular. Without that morning boost of caffeine, I have forked out $4, only to continue to doze the day away. Whatever the case I do adore coffee. Dont you?

Coffee Beans

Coffee beans are the roasted seeds that coffee comes from. It was first exported to Ethiopia from Yemen.

Coffee beans are distinguished by distinctive flavor, caffeine content, and acidity. These characteristics, in turn, are dependent on the local growth environment, method of processing, and the genetic subspecies or varieties.

Two coffee bean varieties are often blended for more flavor and variety. Among the most popular variety of traditional blends is the Mocha-Java, a combination of beans of the same name. The popular chocolate-inspired beverage called Caf Mocha is believed to have been invented due to the unavailability of mocha.

A lot of processes and human labor are needed before coffee berries and their seeds can be processed and turned into roasted coffee. These include picking, wherein laborers picked coffee berries by hand and in turn received payment by the basket. Up to seven baskets a day can be picked by an experienced coffee picker. Defruiting involves soaking, scouring the flesh of the coffee berry.

Drying is the process whereby coffee beans are spread over a wide concrete surface and then dried by air and sunlight. The beans are then sorted by color and size. Another process is called aging; some believe that green coffee improves over time, while others dispute this belief saying that it loses its flavor as it ages. The roasting process is an integral part of a great-tasting coffee. The green coffee bean expands its size and changes color and texture when roasted.

On the other hand, the process involved in producing coffee grounds prior to brewing are grinding, chopping, and pounding. Grinding involves tearing the bean. Coffee experts consider burr grinders to be the best way to grind coffee. Chopping the bean into pieces through blade grinders that smash the beans with a high-speed blade is another method. The third process is called pounding, whereby beans are pounded by the use of mortar and pestle.

So the next time you see a coffee bean, you know the exciting journey it went through before finding its way into our cup.
