We are at an unprecedented time in the history of media and delivery mediums. Never before has the opportunity been so great for independent writers and actors, musicians and producers to create compelling content on par with the studios, networks and labels. With easy and affordable access to cameras, editing software and computing power, the playing field has been truly leveled. Never before has the power of enablement for individuals and businesses alike been so readily available. The enablement creates opportunities for reach, richness and economic gains. Empowerment follows enablement and we have been empowered beyond measure. Now how and what can we do?

Social networking for business purposes encompasses numerous mediums and hundreds of related task that collective can maximize an individual, an organization and entire institutions reach to targeted audiences. Many jump into the space because they hear of the success others have gained but few achieve real success for lack of knowledge.

When we examine the tools, techniques, networks and a host of other factors we have found an expanding list of related issues that enable reach and richness for business objectives. There are numerous how to guides on the web but few truly address the success factors systemically thus the learning curve for the masses is steep and wide but direct for the few.

As we continue to compile our tool kit of the success factors we wanted to begin to share the macro discoveries with our audience. Our tool kit of the success factors will be released later this year with the objective of reducing the learning curve for businesses and individuals thus enabling a broader distribution of success for all.

First the initial ten elements of success include:

1. Technological: a tool kit for maximizing reach

2. Reach: How to maximize your reach to targeted audiences

3. Richness: What topics, knowledge, products & services appeal to the masses

4. Means: Blogs, Networks, forums and related mediums to leverage your business profile

5. Integration: How to maximize time by using integration tools that enhance your reach

6. SEO: How to leverage tools that maximize your placement in search engines

7. Broadcasting Media: Text, images, audio and video factors to consider

8. Connections: With whom, what and where provides the secret factor of awareness

9. Measures: How to measure ones success and benchmark with the best of the best

10. Economics: What to expect for cost and the return on these efforts.

There is a proliferation of suggestions relative to the above matters on a daily basis. Just today we received Marketing Sherpas just released a series of reports centered on Global Networking: Business Networking Series. The recent report titled: Marketing Wisdom for 2007: 110 Marketers & Agencies Share Real Life Tips The primary objective of these articles is to education the reader on effective networking tools and practices. This report, while interesting, is just a collection of opinions and shared experiences. Some are useful and some are not. However, it is a prime example of how diverse opinions are as to what drives success in this ever emerging and evolving networked world.

The Relationship Economy will be born out of simplicity.
