Creativity finds its roots in each and every one of us. Creativity is an expression of every human being. You have the ability to be creative whether you are a plumber, a doctor, a factory worker or a writer.

Many people do not see themselves as creative because they are not involved with any artistic industry; on the contrary, they have to work everyday in a well defined setting with rules where room for creativity is scarce and even discouraged.

With this in mind, however, you must know this: Creativity has nothing to do with what you do. Your occupation, your job or your work have nothing to do with who you are. Creativity has everything to do with you. It is part of you.

Maybe your creativity is not appreciated where you work and you may feel that it would be useless to explore it at your job and in many cases its probably true. I knew of a waitress that thought that the table mats of the restaurant where she worked were dull, so she took one home and made the same table mat with a beautiful background design and then laminated it. When she showed it to her boss he said: Good job, now lets get back to work. Obviously, this persons creativity was not appreciated at her job.

Never forget, your creativity belongs to you, its part of you. You are not giving it away by using it even in an unfriendly environment like the waitress. Because your creativity is yours it will always serve you and only you. If you are working for someone else dont think that you would be wasting your time by using your creative imagination because if you do, these creative ideas of yours, if allowed to run freely will eventually lead you to where you want to be and in time will take you out of the unwanted present situation. The waitresss creativity made her understand that she was meant for something better. In time she was able to leave her job and became a business owner herself where she was able to use her creativity freely.

If you own your own home based business, your creativity is an essential tool for your success. You need to use your creativity to the maximum. Instead of restraining it, you need to search for it, reflect on it, read about it and try it. Creative ideas could make a huge difference in your results. Advertising strategies, websites, traffic builders, business compensation plans and so on come from creativity of the human mind.

Always remember, you were born a creative being that wants nothing more than to express itself. Allow your inerself to express its creativity and good things will come to you.

How can you develop creative ideas? Ask yourself questions all through out the day as you go to your daily routing at work and off work.

Ask yourself questions such as: How could I make this look better? How could I make this more attractive to my potential customers or prospects? How could I make this more understandable for most people? What kind of people would be interested in this? What kind of people would this be helping?

You get the point? Ask yourself as many questions as you can think of and the answers will come in a form of creative ideas which in turn will build your creativity more and more as you go. The more you will utilize your creativity the easier it will come to you.
